#3 is overwhelming!

I have to tell you LibraryThing has so many things to look at and play with and so many contributors that if you don’t get a quick case of information overload, you’re not doing it right!

I started looking at it a couple of days ago and finally moved from looking to playing.  I started out being a bit intimidated because there is just so much information presented as soon as I opened the site.  There are so many things to explore that you can practically click anywhere and go somewhere!  So, I read a few blogs and looked at some books and recommendations.  I checked out some of the groups.  I just explored the site and finally decided to sign up this morning.

I put a couple of my books in and found it to be mostly a very simple process.  The only glitch I ran into is that the books I put in came in multiple editions with multiple covers.  This caused a slight problem with one book because I couldn’t find the right one and ended up deleting the title a couple of times to find the right edition.  I finally got it done and learned how to delete a title and pick a cover to display for my edition.  All very easy.

This is not the kind of site you can just go explore for a few minutes, figure it out and forget about it.  LibraryThing is very involving and will take a whole lot more exploration until I’m done with it!  See you in the Library…um…Thing!
