So, the summer semester is over. I worked hard, as usual, and earned myself another A. Though I have zero plans for attending the madhouse that are USF Tampa graduation ceremonies, if all goes as planned, I’ll be graduating with honors again. As long as it’s on the diploma, I’m good.
This past semester, I learned to use a large number of software application that are being used by libraries everywhere. Some libraries are making use of some applications, while others prefer other applications, depending on many factors such as needs and preferences of patrons and staff comfort with one application over another. If you want to see what I did over the summer, you’ll need to take a look at my Google Site. Click here:
A few things I learned this summer, beyond the new applications:
- you MUST keep up with advances or you will fall behind. Immediately! If you fall behind, you will constantly struggle to catch up. I finally gave in and got myself a subscription to a techy mag. I dislike magazines, but I do what I must!
- There is nothing to fear, and you can’t break the internet.
- I am far in front of most people when it comes to understanding most of this stuff.
- Blogger is easier to navigate and manipulate than WordPress
Nuff said for now… except… what is Joomla?
